Welcome to PirateHoard.com (the “Site”), operated by M.A.P., operating PirateHoard.com (“we,” “us”), mailing address Franklin, Kentucky, USA. By creating an account or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site.
1. Eligibility. You must be at least 13 to register. Age-restricted features — Dating, private/encrypted spaces, real-money purchases, and any wagering — require you to be 18+ and to have completed our age verification. You are responsible for the laws of your own location.
2. Accounts. One person, one account. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or the Pirate’s Charter.
3. The Pirate’s Charter. Day-to-day community conduct and self-rule are governed by the Pirate’s Charter. Where the Charter and these Terms conflict on a legal matter, these Terms control.
4. User content. You keep ownership of what you post and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it to operate and promote the Site. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the rights to it.
5. Doubloons (virtual currency). Doubloons are a virtual in-Site token. They have no monetary value, are not your property, are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or anything of value outside the Site, and cannot be cashed out or transferred off-platform. We may issue, adjust, expire, or revoke doubloons and modify the economy at any time. Purchased doubloons are a limited, revocable license to use a Site feature, capped at $25 USD per month, and are non-refundable except where the law requires.
6. Games and wagering. Games and wagers use doubloons for entertainment only. Because doubloons have no cash value and cannot be cashed out, this is not gambling for money. Wagering is limited to verified 18+ members and may be unavailable in some regions. You are responsible for whether participation is lawful where you are. We take only a flat service fee (“rake”) and do not profit from outcomes.
7. Marketplace. The marketplace is a venue connecting members; we are not a party to any transaction, make no warranty about any item or seller, and are not responsible for member-to-member dealings. Sellers handle their own taxes, licenses, and compliance. We charge a fee on sales as described on the Site.
8. Identity and age verification. Some features require verification through a third-party provider (a government-ID check plus a liveness check). We store only the result (pass/fail and confirmed country), never your raw documents — see the Privacy Policy.
9. Prohibited conduct. No illegal activity, harassment, threats, doxxing, spam, fraud, sexualization of minors, or anything barred by the Charter’s Zero-Tolerance rules. We may remove content and accounts for violations.
10. Treasure operations. The Site is a place to discuss treasure hunting. We do not organize, fund, broker, or take part in any expedition or any money that changes hands between members for one; that is entirely between those members, off-platform, at their own risk.
11. Disclaimers. The Site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, uptime, or that user content is reliable. Nothing on the Site is professional (legal, financial, or appraisal) advice.
12. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for member-to-member transactions, and total liability is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months or $100.
13. Termination. You may close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations. Doubloons and virtual items are forfeited on termination.
14. Changes. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted. Continued use means acceptance.
15. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky, United States, with disputes resolved in the state or federal courts located in Simpson County, Kentucky.
